Default another noob questions

Once you get to level 20, what's the point of levelling up? GuildWars Wiki says it's to get more skill points, but where can I get better skills than the ones I got along the way to level 20? Also, where can I see how many skill points I have?

Thanks,
Wrayk

Only purpose is to get skill points.

There is a single title where you have to get heaps of XP (more than what you need to reach lv20) without ever dying.

In towns, there are NPCs with the word "[skills]" in their names. You talk to them and you can buy skills. Skills cost some gold and 1 skill point to buy.

If you are playing prophercies, then for a long time... skills NPCs won't hav anything useful for you (i.e. most of the skills you want, will be given to you from quests already). Towards the end of prophercies, there are skill trainers that start selling a broader range of skills:

If you move your character to another campaign (e.g. factions, nightfall, eotn), then the skills NPCs you find there will sell you skills you don't already have.

In addition, later in prophercies you can freely change your secondary class. If you change secondary classes to a new one, you can use skills NPCs to purchase skills belonging to your new secondary class.

Also, skill points are used to craft certain items in EoTN

Press "H"

You can mouse over the number of skills points and it will also tell you how many you have spent.

Leveling up isn't really a big deal in Guild Wars. In factions for example, almost as soon as you leave the starting area, you are max level, max armor, max damage weapons, etc.

In addition to what Yaksha said there are elite skills that you can capture from certain bosses. You should buy more capture signets from the skills NPC's (see http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/List_...skill_trainers for a list of skill trainers) and hunt down those bosses with the elite skills for your profession and secondary profession. You can also use tomes to capture those skills.

See http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Elite_skills and http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Elite_skill for more about elite skills and which ones are available for your profession and the bosses to hunt down for them.

...and if you get eye of the north, and want to make consumables you will need skill points for some of these as well, but do not worry about those at this time.

For awhile, you will want to get more skill points to make your character stronger and more versataile with respect to skills. Later you will reach a point where you have so many unspent points that you won't pay attention to leveling anymore.

Also, crafting consumables and rez scrolls costs skill points. So it's nice (though not required) to have at least a couple hundred unspent skill points.
